Juri Viehoff

Juri Viehoff is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Zurich’s department of philosophy. In his Swiss-National Science Foundation-funded research project “The Anatomy of Systemic Financial Risk” he investigates, together with economists from ETH Zurich, the nature, ocurence and justifiability of risk impositions in financial markets. Prior to taking up his position in Zurich, he completed at D.Phil in political philosophy at the University of Oxford, where is thesis focused on questions of distributive justice and social equality in the European Union. He has published articles on various aspects of the political theory of the EU and questions of distributive justice, demcocracy, and the morality of risk imposition.
